Quality Assurance

noun

The maintenance of a desired level of quality in a service or product, especially by means of attention to every stage of the process of delivery production

Quality is everything in consumer healthcare and pharmaceutical business, but it is more than just a word and AWS Medical ensures all products we supply are developed, manufactured and delivered to the highest possible standards. This is one of the fundamental reasons we have successfully been supplying some brands with the same products for more than 20 years.

Pharmaceutical cGMP Standards
All our products are manufactured in Pharmaceutical cGMP TGA-approved facilities to ensure the highest possible standards of production and packaging. In addition to cGMP-certification, AWS Medical manufacturing sites are routinely audited by our customer’s internal QA and GMP teams.

Raw Material Analysis
All raw materials are analysed in laboratories to ensure they meet the published specifications. Every batch of every ingredient is analysed to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained over the life of every product.

Certificates of Analysis
Every batch of every product we supply is analysed in laboratories to ensure it complies with the product specifications. Additional analytics are available on request including Heavy Metal Testings, Full Assay Analysis, Microbial Testing and other testing requirements as requested by our customers.

Stability Studies
In accordance with relevant requirements of various regulatory authorities AWS Medical ensures all products undergo stability testing to justify the shelf life of the product. For new products, accelerated stability testing is undertaken initially, often followed by real time stability testing as required by the relevant authority or our customer’s internal requirements. All stability testing is conducted per the International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) Quality Guidelines.

Freight
It’s critical that our customers receive their products in the same condition in which they left the factory. With goods often moving from one side of the globe to the other, AWS Medical has processes in place to protect goods in the best possible way.

Most goods transported by sea freight are stored in monitored climate controlled reefer shipping containers to maintain product stability and integrity. This is particularly important in many of the tropical climates we deliver to, where even small delays at the port can expose the products to extreme heat and humidity. We also organise all customs clearances and inland transportation from ports to our customer’s final destination.

Whilst normally our supplied products are delivered in perfect order, AWS Medical maintains comprehensive insurance cover to safeguard for any rare instances where goods are damaged or delayed in transit.
